Audrey Bakkestuen Obituary
Audrey Evelyn Bakkestuen, 89, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her home in Viroqua. She was born on May 5, 1936, to Pete and Evelyn (VanRiper) Johnson. Audrey married Jerome “Bud” Bakkestuen on September 15, 1956, at St Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Audrey enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Bangor High School. Bud and Audrey owned and operated Car Quest. She enjoyed embroidery, spending time with family, going to movies, and traveling.
She is survived by her loving family.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Bakkestuen; sister, Diana Brandt; brothers, Melvin and Lyle Johnson; and her parents.
Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services is assisting the family.
