Barry J. Mashak, 73, of Westby passed away on December 26, 2020 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua after a long battle with kidney disease and Parkinson’s.
He was born April 3, 1947 to Eddie and Verna Mashak. Barry graduated from Westby High School in 1965 and worked at Eklov Mobil Station his entire life, retiring in 2010.
June 29th, 1968 he married Bonnie Groves at the Viroqua Church of Christ.
Barry enjoyed spending time with family and his love of the Packers was well known to anyone that knew him. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers and all westerns.
He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Linda Mashak and Annette (Cory) Larson of La Crosse; 3 grandchildren: Megan Mashak, Kaylee Larson, and Jackson Larson; 2 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Eloise Arena-Mashak; brothers: Bruce of La Crosse, Brian (Sue), Brent, Brad (Helen) of Westby; sister Lynn (Jeff) Kohlmeier of La Crosse; brother-in-law, Dexter (Karen) Groves of Viroqua; sister-in-law, Ramona Groves Cole (Jerry Hoffman) of Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Harry and Marie Groves; grandparents and several other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday December 30th, 2020 from 9am-11am at Roth Family Cremation Center in Viroqua. A private burial will be held at a later date.
