Brenda Jean Boak, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 28, 2023.
Born May 23, 1956 ~ Set Free August 28, 2023
Parents Donald and Esther (Purington) Pittsley
Married Gary "Bud" Boak, on October 3, 1975.
Brenda loved the land. The outdoors and her animals were her solace. Every animal she had was lovingly cared for, and there were many in her lifetime. They all knew her love and tender care. We imagine they stood at Heaven's gate just behind Jesus to welcome her in, Jesus saying "Well done, good and faithful servant." We all sang many songs together. The one that comes to mind... What A Day It Will Be, When my Jesus I Shall See and the look upon His face the one that saved me by His grace... Brenda saw "that day" on August 28th, 2023.
Brenda was a true farmer. She could drive any tractor, milk any cow, and round up the cattle with any horse. But the seeds she was most passionate about were the seeds of the Gospel, the seeds of love, repentance and forgiveness. Brenda's hard times were always combated with her fierce faith in the Holy Trinity... God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. She expressed her faith outwardly, and also through her writings and in all of the many songs she wrote and sang while playing her guitar.
She loved her family passionately. We look forward to seeing her again because of our faith in Christ and the acceptance of His sacrifice on the Cross, His death, resurrection and appearing to His Disciples and many others, and then ascending into Heaven as they watched. He will return in Glory to receive unto Him all who have accepted Him in our lifetime on earth. What a day, glorious day that will be.
She is survived by her mother, Esther (Purington) Pittsley; sister Sharon Pittsley; brother Bruce (Kathryn) Pittsley; brother-in-law LaVon Boak; Aunt Emily Pittsley; horses Spirit and Bolero; dogs Bobby and Buckley; cats: Sunny, Button, Tiggey, Black, and Fancy; along with cousins and many friends whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald Pittsley; her grandparents Eldon and Bertha Pittsley; sister-in-law Janet Boak; relatives: Paul and Rose Pittsley, Virgil and Annie Pittsley, Junior Pittsley, Mary Pittsley, Betty and Dallas Faulkner, Dallas (Doc) Faulkner, Delos Faulkner, Delores Faulkner; Edgar and Amanda Purrington; friend Nancy Huffey; and her beloved horses... Eagle, Serenity, Soar-EL; and many others, along with all of her other animal friends. Fly High Sister, fly high...
