Brian J. Mashak

Brian Joseph Mashak, 73, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home in Westby.

He was born on March 26, 1952, to Verna and Edward Mashak.  He married Susan Schultz on February 14, 1992.

Brian liked fishing, having daily coffee with the guys at Zipp Stop, and getting a daily dose of lottery tickets.  He enjoyed his career as a lineman with the Village of Cashton and the City of Westby.  He was a skilled pool player and participated in many pool tournaments.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Todd) Nottestad - their children Austin, Chase, and Clay; son Justin (Amy) Mashak- their children Ethan and Elliot; son Erik (Jennie) Mashak- their children Jailyn and Jonah; brothers: Bruce, Brent, and Brad (Helen); brothers-in-law: Jeff Kohlmeier, Steven (Sandy) Schultz, Robert (Sherry) Schultz, and Jeff (Lauri) Schultz; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Mashak, Peggy Leum, and Kathy Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents Verna and Edward Mashak; wife Susan Mashak; in-laws Gerald and Marilyn Schultz; brother Barry Mashak; sister Lynn Kohlmeier; and brother-in-law Torkel Leum.  

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  Please come to fellowship with friends and family, sharing stories, and honoring Brian.
