Carl J. Ruegg

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Carl J. Ruegg on March 5, 2025. Carl was born on August 5, 1940, to Carley and Angela Ruegg in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Carl was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather. Carl married Lana J. Pennel on March 9, 1962. They had 3 children: Lisa (Kendal) Christman, Michelle (Richard) LeMay and Carl (Cheryl) Ruegg. Carl retired from Office Plus of Lake County where his son Carl worked with him for a while until he became a Fireman for the city of Kenosha. When they used to get a service call for Six Flags Great America, they would sneak off and play games there. Carl loved trains and bird watching from the comfort of his couch. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in Disney World. Carl also enjoyed making Lefse with his wife and daughter Michelle. He had one grandson TC Christman, who is the son of Lisa Christman and 3 great grandchildren: Emma, Kaylee, and Bane Christman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Viroqua, Wisconsin at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
