Caroline Anderson

Caroline Anderson, 89, of Viroqua, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.  She was born on November 12, 1933.

Caroline was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She is survived by her daughters Susan (Leo) Withrow, Nancy Gaszak and Donna (Lucas) Spangler.  Caroline was also cherished by her grandchildren: Adam Jaszkowski, Nikita and Hailey Spangler, Brandon Withrow, and Mariah Lopez.  She will be missed by her great-grandchildren:  John, Conner and Rachel Withrow, Vada and Eleazer Lopez, Theodore and Ivy Spangler, as well as other nieces, nephews, and family members.

Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Anderson; brothers Richard (Donna) Miller and Erv (Joan) Krukowski; sister Irene (Earl) Eimer; sons Arthur and Thomas Gaszak; granddaughter Jeni Jaszkowski; as well as nieces Noreen and Marilyn Eimer.

In her free time, Caroline enjoyed watching hummingbirds and butterflies.  She loved eating, sharing, and canning fresh vegetables that her daughter grew in the family garden.  Caroline found joy in spending time with her animal companions, including cats, dogs, horses, chickens, geese, bird, and a donkey named Wilbur.  She cherished moments with her family and was always up for a BBQ and good times.  Caroline also enjoyed playing canasta or trying any game as long as it brought family together.

A Celebration of Life for Caroline Anderson will be held next spring/summer.  The date is yet to be determined.  A time to share stories and memories of a wonderful person.  Caroline will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Her memory will forever be cherished.
