Cheryl Skrede Obituary
Cheryl S. Skrede, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home in Viroqua.
She was born on February 25, 1947, to Avery L. Sterling and La Vera (Martin) Sterling. She married Paul Rowley and they later divorced. On April 20, 1985, she married Rod Skrede in Viroqua.
Cheryl enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and tending her flowers, feeding and watching her beloved birds, including: hummingbirds, orioles, and woodpeckers. She thought the world of her granddaughters and their accomplishments.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle M. (Jerry) Ostrem; stepdaughter Gina Elliot; stepson Jared Skrede; three granddaughters: Leah, Dana, and Amber Ostrem; and her brother John Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery and La Vera Sterling; husband Rod Skrede; and brothers, Avery Sterling II and William Sterling.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cheryl’s hospice nurse, Michelle Seichter, for being there through it all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service with Chaplain Char Peterson officiating.
