Chloe Ann Gallup, age 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded in love, on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Norseland Nursing Home in Westby, WI.
She was born on Sunday, February 19, 1939, in La Crosse, WI to Gladys and Arnold Gallup.
Chloe loved her family, friends, church family, and above all, God. She loved reading scripture and completing her weekly bible studies. Truthfully, she loved reading in general & would often devour a book a day. She always yearned to learn new things and appreciated the adventure a good book would take you on. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and the 2 trips that she got to take there with her beloved mother and Aunt Odessa would leave a lifetime of lasting memories that she would often share. She also looked forward to any day spent arrowhead hunting with her brother Clark and knew an incredible amount of Native American history. She could name (at least) one Native American tribe for each letter of the alphabet. She had a beautiful, charismatic soul, and made friends everywhere that she went. During the 7 months that she spent at Norseland, I am confident that she made friends with every resident there and touched the lives of everyone that she met. Chloe was the sweetest, kindest, most sincere, and loving angel who touched so many lives. Her message was consistently one of pure love and acceptance for all walks of life. She will be missed deeply by all.
She is survived by her brothers Clark Gallup and Carlyle Gallup; nephew Ryan (Brenda) Gallup; and nieces Jodi Gallup, Katie (Todd) Stimac, and Rachel Gallup-Scullion, along with their children, countless friends, and family members.
She was preceded in death by her father Arnold Gallup, mother Gladys Gallup, brother Clyde Gallup, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins on both the Gallup and Severson side of her family.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Norseland Nursing Home and St. Croix Hospice. We are immeasurably grateful for your gentle love and care, not only for our Chloe, but also for her family.
Her Memorial Service will be held by family on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in La Crosse, WI.
Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services is assisting the family.
