Cindy Sue Mc Dowell Obituary
Cindy Sue (Welch) Mc Dowell, 72, of rural De Soto passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
She was born on January 15, 1950, the oldest of 7 children born to Ralph and Joann (Hangartner) Welch. Cindy graduated from St. Pats High School in Waukon, IA, Class of 1968.
She married Ron Mc Dowell on September 12, 1970. Soon after they moved to the ridge outside of Red Mound, WI where they raised two beautiful daughters.
Cindy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She will always be remembered for her love of family, famous goulash, beautiful flowers, her jukebox dance moves, and her great love of the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her husband, Ron: loving daughters, Holly (Troy) Sommer and Nicki (Ryan) Nichols; cherished grandsons: Ryan (Amanda) Lockington, Austin Lockington (special friend Melissa Vodde), Evan and Dylan Nichols; great grandchildren: Reid, Marilyn, Dahlana, Arianna, and Charlette; siblings: Sherry Welch, Chris (Steve) Weymiller, Terry (Laurie) Welch, Jill (Jim) Kiesau, and Kim (Amy) Welch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Joann Welch; mother-in-law, Bernilda Mc Dowell; father-in-law, Elmer Mc Dowell; sister, Jackie Welch, Brother-in-law, Larry Mc Dowell; and nephew, Jamie Ryan.
A private family service will be held. The Roth Family Cremation Center is serving the family.
