Clair Junior Morrison, 84, of Viroqua and formerly Viola, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua.
He was born on July 31, 1941, to Clair and Florence (Kinder) Morrison. He married Lila Ann Benson on March 12, 1960, at the United Methodist Church in Viroqua. They were married for 66 wonderful years.
Clair enjoyed wood working, baseball, football, hunting, fishing, gardening, and wine making. He was also a fan of all the Wisconsin sports teams. He took great pride in being the Viroqua Cemetery caretaker for many years. He did an excellent job. Clair was known for being kind and open hearted.
He is survived by his children: Connie Smith, Dennis (Cindy) Morrison, and Kevin Morrison; grandchildren: Jessica (Olson) Ezelle and Annmarie Morrison; great-grandchildren; Chasity and Gunner Ezelle; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother, Norman (Zelda) Morrison; sister-in-law Cindy Lindvig; and many other relatives.
Clair was preceded in death by his wife Lila Morrison; parents Clair and Florence Morrison; parents-in-law William and Marie Benson; son Butch Morrison; daughter-in-law Linda Morrison; sisters, Jane Kolstad and Joan Morkrid; brother Mike Fish; sister Bev Phetteplace; and sister-in-law, Hope Sisbach.

Family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Clair and his wife Lila (who passed away in 2025) Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Gasser’s Bar and Grill from 1 PM - 3 PM.
