Dennis Kearney Obituary
Dennis M. Kearney, 77, of Viroqua passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.
Dennis was born on February 15, 1949, to Ethel (Leahy) and Lawrence Kearney Sr. He married Bonnie Ward on September 26, 1970, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.
Dennis did a variety of jobs. He was self-employed doing farm work, he spent 12 years as a janitor at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and he also did custom mowing for many cemeteries in the area for a total of 34 years.
Dennis is survived his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Lisa Hatfield; daughter-in-law, Erin Kearney; 3 grandsons: Sean Kearney, Noah Kearney, and Chase Hudson; one brother, John (Michalene) Kearney of Janesville, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Lawrence Kearney Sr.; son, William Kearney; brothers: William, Larry, Joseph, and Thomas; sisters, Mary (Ronnie) Hirschfield and Theresa (Victor) Fortney; and a special uncle, John Kearney.
