Gregory Allen Halverson, age 71 of Viroqua passed away on Thursday, November 25th, 2021, at Vernon Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 5th, 1950, to Stanley (LaVerne) and Muriel (Skrede) Halverson of rural Viroqua. He was baptized and confirmed at Bad Axe Lutheran Church and graduated from Viroqua High School in 1968. He worked for Beck Masonry until his retirement. He was a skilled block layer and was well known for his beautiful brick work. He built many fireplaces for people in the area and also La Crosse and Onalaska. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many things for relatives and friends. He built his own home in Purdy Valley of which he was most proud. Greg was a quiet man who loved his family and a good friend to all who knew him.
Greg is survived by his mother, Muriel; sister Mary Ann (David) Thurin; brother Donald (Siri) Halverson, all of Viroqua. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley (LaVerne) Halverson on August 28th, 2003.
