Hunter R. Kyser

Hunter Ray Kyser, 25, passed away on March 11, 2023, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. 

He was born on September 30, 1997, to Michael and Jody (Dull) Kyser.

Hunter enjoyed working on house projects - all of the time, playing PS5 with multiple friends, hanging with friends, and always making new ones.  He loved cooking and making up new concoctions that were delicious. He liked playing and watching sports:  basketball, football (huge Packer fan!), and baseball (huge Buck’s fan!).  He loved his dog “Snoop Dogg” with all of his heart. 

He is survived by his mother, Jody Kyser (fiancé Jim Oldenhoff); brother, Holden Kyser; grandparents: Bill Kyser, Jim and Vicki Dull; Aunt Tamara and Uncle Nate Hendrickson; cousins: Tanner Elbert, Reggie and Ross Hendrickson; his pride and joy, “Snoop Dogg,”; and special friends, Shawn Engh and Mackenzie Hoffland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Kyser; grandmother, Connie Royland; great- grandparents: Kenneth and Ervilla Kyser, Jim and Fern Connely, Gifford and Theo Dull, and Theressa Rice.

A special thank you to Pastor Michele Engh, Roth Family Cremation Center, Viroqua EMS, First Responders, Vernon County Sheriff’s Department: Responding Deputies and Dispatch, Vernon Memorial Hospital ER and staff, and Gunderson ICU staff for their generosity and care during the moments leading up to Hunter’s passing.

Hunter will be greatly missed by all.  He’s touched so many lives with his contagious smile and personality.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua with Pastor Michele Engh officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. 

The family would greatly appreciate memorials in lieu of flowers.
