Jason C. Hanson

Jason C. Hanson, 47, of Westby, died on Saturday, January 28, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.  Jason was born on November 28, 1976, to Arvid and Cathy (Sanwick) Hanson.

Jason loved family, cousins, brothers, and aunts.  He enjoyed going to the cabin, fishing, campfires, rides, and music.  He also enjoyed going to camp and making new friends.  Jason loved to eat sardines, smoked oysters, pickled pork hocks, lefse, and anything - Jason loved all kinds of foods.  He enjoyed shopping and loved to drive through Amish country.

He is survived by his parents, Arvid and Cathy; brothers, Jarrett and Justin (Beth); three nieces: Hailie, June, and Lennon; one nephew, Hunter; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Anita; brother Jeremy; grandparents: Conrad and Terri Sanwick and Orville and Ellen Hanson; uncle, Carl Hanson; and aunts, Ann Morkrid and Pauline Hanson.

A special thank you to Pastor George Shick and the church for assisting with the service and Hansen’s IGA for the lunch.

A Celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Redemption Chapel with Pastor George Shick officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. 

The Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services of Viroqua is assisting the family.
