John R Belcher, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023.
The son of Virgil Lee and Lillie Belle (Samples) Belcher. John was born January 2, 1944, in Kingsport,Tennessee.
John worked 33 years for the Maryland National Parks and Planning, retiring in 2019.
John is survived by 2 sons, John Belcher, Jr. (Jenny) and Mark Belcher; grandchildren: Candra (Randall) Smith, Brittany Belcher, Michael (Taylor) Belcher, and Tyler Belcher; great grandchildren: Cara, Landon, Lena, Westley and Grayson; his late wife Mary’s children: Joe Cade, Tom Cade, Debbie Cade (Andy Pradovic), Cathy Cade, Ann Cade (Tim Meinking), Theresa (Jeff) Weibel, and Christine Cade; sister-in-law Joyce (Bill) Sykes; Mary’s grandchildren: Aaron(Heidi), Angie, Andrea (Eric Turben), Ashley, Michael, and Lane; great grandchildren: Madisen, Trinity, Remington, Kinzie, and Ryleigh.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lillie Belle Belcher; his second wife Mary Belcher, her second born son James Cade.
The family would like to thank Gundersen Health System, Tri-State Ambulance, Westby EMS, and St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate care they gave John.

To honor John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate John’s memory in your own way.
