John Joseph Feist

John Joseph Feist, age 64, passed away on June 26, 2026, at his home in Viroqua, Wisconsin, with his family by his side.

John was born on May 21, 1962, to Charmaine and Joe Feist of Edgerton, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Mallwood–Newville area, near where the Rock River meets Lake Koshkonong—a place that sparked his lifelong love of fishing.

John was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan through every season, celebrating the highs and remaining loyal through the lows. He also enjoyed playing pool and spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and simple moments that meant the most.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Angela (Josh) Normann; grandchildren Dylan Hase, Isabel Nordrum, Araina (Marcus) Wilson, and Hadley Normann; his stepson, Jamie Roehl; grandchildren Rylee, Alison, and Lainey; his son, Johnathan Feist (Nicole); grandchild Olive; and his daughter, Karie Feist; grandchild Landon Freiseis. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Feist (Theresa); niece Ashley (Nick) Neitzel and nephew Cody Feist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charmaine and Joe Feist, and his brothers, Jim and Tom Feist.

John will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his unwavering loyalty, and the deep connections he shared with those around him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Viroqua Eagles Club, 216 S. Rock Ave., Viroqua, WI 54665. All are welcome to attend. Food will be provided, and guests are encouraged to dress casually and share stories in remembrance of John.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for John’s family may be made to Angela Normann.
