Katherine "Kathy" Lynne Elliott

Katherine “Kathy” Lynne Elliott, 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022, at her home in Viroqua.  Kathy was born February 26, 1957, to Roger and Janet Mueller.  She married Gary Elliott on June 18, 1977, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua, WI.

Kathy graduated from De Soto High School in 1975 and continued her education at WWTC receiving a degree in Surgical Technology.  She worked at VMH for 25 years.  She enjoyed the outdoors and loved riding horses with her best friend Cheryl Day.   Kathy also loved camping with her family, hiking, riding her motorcycle, shooting trap, and boating.  She was an avid mountain sled rider, making several trips every winter out west.  Kathy loved to sew and make quilts or just spend time with her grandchildren, she always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her husband Gary Elliott of Viroqua, WI; two children, Tanner (Wad) Elliott of Viroqua WI, and Kandace Elliott of Viroqua, WI; five grandchildren:  Easton, Abigail, Izzy, Daxtin, and Ridlei; her mother, Janet Mueller; two brothers, Steve (Jeanne) Mueller of Westby, WI and Tim (Kristal) Mueller of La Crescent, MN.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Roger Mueller; brother James “Jim” Mueller; sister-in-law Becky Mueller; and her uncle Richard Mueller.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to PA Lisa Gundersen, Dr. Ojelabi, Dr. Hughs, and all the staff of Gundersen Health System - Cancer Center.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Gundersen Health System - Cancer Center and the Viroqua Community Arena.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Retreat Sportsman’s Club from noon until 3:00 p.m.  A prayer service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lori Kleppe officiating.  The Roth Family Cremation Center is serving the family.
