Kathryn "Kate" Schroeder traveled from earth peacefully on September 22, 2021 at the age of 71 years young. She was blessed to be at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Kate was born on September 18, 1950, to Cleo and Agnes (Homstad) Schroeder. It is impossible to sum up the impact & influence Kate has had on those around her. She had a kind and grateful approach that was comforting in any situation. She loved spending time with friends and family sharing her knowledge and experience in travel, gardening, crafting, cooking & canning. An amazing life teacher known for her unconditional love & fairness, passion for purple & being "the Princess". Her presence will be missed and her memory cherished.
Kate is survived by her life partner Steven Getter; four daughters: Molly (Nate) Buros, Jennifer (Keith) Styles, Mia Gardner and Kara Gardner; six grandchildren: Lauren & Tyler Buros, Gunnar & Gage Styles, Deven Gabrielson & Mai Peterson; two brothers, Bob (Theresa) Schroeder & Bill Schroeder; niece, Naomi Schroeder; "that Getter bunch" Eileen Getter, "honorary sister" Susan (John) Johnson, Sonia Getter (son Cody, Tia & boys), Stacey Getter, Stuart (Kay) Getter and Stanley (Siri) Getter, as well as "Canning Sister" Heidi Salach, cousins, and many wonderful friends.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, brother Michael Schroeder and nephews Geoffrey & Jonathan Schroeder.
Kate will be honored by a celebration of life at their home on October 9, 2021. Please join us between 1-4 pm
