Kim Marie Meyer, 41, of DeSoto, WI, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born to Reuben Junior and Sara (Strand) Hanson in Viroqua, WI, on July 31, 1980. Kim married Shanon Meyer on June 3, 2000, and they had two daughters.
Kim worked for Kwik Trip, Apac, Cabela’s, and was most recently employed at Wal Mart of La Crosse, WI, in receiving. She loved flowers and fishing. She had a great love of her nieces and nephews as well. Kim had a generous spirit and was always putting others before herself.
Kim is survived by her husband, Shanon; two daughters, Leah and Chelsie; parents, Reuben Jr and Sara Hanson; father and mother-in-law, Leon and Joanie Meyer; two brothers, Andy and Ben (Lauren) Hanson; nieces and nephews, Drew, CJ, Krysta, and Junior.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma, Reuben Sr and Emma Hanson; grandpa and grandma, Gordon and Charlotte Strand.
A Celebration of Kim’s life will be held on September 24th, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church in De Soto with Pastor Carter Jorgensen officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will take place in the Walnut Mound Cemetery.
