Chris was born on March 6, 1944, in Viroqua, Wisconsin, to Harland and DeLaine (Erickson) Christopherson. He graduated from Viroqua High School in 1962.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, completing basic training in Amarillo, TX then to Columbus, MS. An overseas station change led him to Moron, Spain during the Vietnam War where he was employed as a fuel tank driver. Upon returning to the US he worked for many transport companies and finished his driving career with Kwik Trip (32 years) before retiring in 2012 where he received an award of 2.75 million safe miles.
He married Bonnie (McKittrick) on February 22, 1975 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. He was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was an active member of the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church, serving board positions as well as a member of the choir. He enjoyed singing, and was a member of the Viroqua Area Barbershop Organization and the quartet singing group, and also sang solos for many occasions.
Chris enjoyed golf, and riding his motorcycle on the many vacations he and Bonnie traveled in the US and Canada.
Chris had several health challenges and readily accepted the necessary changes they brought as he still made the most of life.
