Loren William Sawvell of Genoa, WI went to be with his Heavenly Father September 18, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
Loren was born in Prairie Du Chien, WI to Lawrence Jones and Barbara (Bedward) Jones on June 8, 1941.
Loren served in the US Army.
Loren was well loved and kind and would give you the shirt off his back. Loren loved his children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. As a little boy he would spend all summer on the Mississippi River commercial fishing and during the winter months he would set traps for beavers. Loren was a mischievous little boy (that never grew up) with a huge heart and a smile that could warm the world.
Loren owned a business while living in Viroqua which included a car wash, gas station, trailer, bikes, lawn mower and snowmobile sales. Loren worked for Reinhardt Foods for 25 years when he lived in La Crosse, WI.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Geraldine (Meyer) Sawvell; first wife, Peggy (Sawvell) Burckhardt; his children Anna Sawvell (Larry), Daniel Sawvell (Diane), David Sawvell (Diane), Gloria Emery (John), Paul Sawvell (Shelly) and Travis Sawvell (Michelle); grandchildren: Crystal, Amber, Thea, Troy, Steven, Luke, Ezra, Kastin, Michael, Renee', Brian, Steven, Kyle, Dacia, Keenan, Melissa, Traci, Nathan, Luke, Brittany, Caleb, Austin, Hunter, Madison, Riley, Charity; many great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; his sisters Mary White and Beverly Scheckel; stepmother Doris Jones.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Barbara (Bedward) Jones; adoptive parents, Elmer and Letha (Bedward) Sawvell; half-brother Dale Bedward; sister Rosie Haun; and his daughter Laura Sawvell.
Visitation with family will be held at 10AM at the Bible Baptist Church of Prairie Du Chien, WI on September 26, 2020. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11AM. The service can be viewed on https://www.facebook.com/BibleBaptistChurchPdc/.
