Mary L (Cade) Belcher died in the arms of our Lord on Monday, October 24th, 2022, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Montrose, Pennsylvania on August 19, 1933. Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Mary met and married her first husband, Donald Cade, moved to Wisconsin and raised 8 children.
Mary loved books, shopping, cruises, hanging with her friends, and gambling. She was outgoing and compassionate. Mary worked many years as an administrative professional and retired at 80 years young. As a 48-year charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2707, she was involved in many things including the Cancer Telethon and loved her time as the President of the auxiliary in Viroqua, WI. While living in Maryland she joined the Legion near her, where many friends will miss her at Post 248 in Temple Hills, MD.
She is survived by her second husband, John Belcher; one sister, Joyce (Bill) Sykes; children: Joe Cade, Tom Cade, Debbie Cade (Andy Prodavich), Cathy Cade, Ann Cade (Tim Meinking), Theresa (Jeff) Weibel and Christine Cade; six grandchildren: Aaron (Heidi) , Angie, Andrea, Ashley, Michael, Lane; five great grandchildren: Madisen, Trinity, Remington, Kinzie and Ryleigh; and her best friend Patti.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Florence Winans; her second born son, James Cade; and the father of her children, Donald Cade. The Family would like to thank Father Joe of St Mary's Catholic Church, Gundersen Health System and St Croix Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Mary.
Please join us to celebrate her life on the 19th of November, 2022, at the Eagles Club in Viroqua from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers and cards, memorials can be made to the Children's Miracle Network at Gundersen Health Systems. Mom was very thankful to CMN for saving her grandson, Lane.
