Mava Clark, 95, of rural Cashton passed away May 13, 2025. She was born July 9, 1929, to Clifford and Iva (Brown) Hubbard on Burr Ridge, rural Hillsboro. Mava attended Normal School in Viroqua and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Wisconsin State College La Crosse. She taught school at Hillsdale, rural Hillsboro, Middleton, and Star Valley, rural LaFarge, before marrying Dale Clark. After she married Dale, on April 30, 1960, she taught at the Dell School (now Grandma’s Attic) for a short time.
Dale and Mava raised mink and also had a small dairy herd. She was active in the Dell church, taught Sunday School and Bible School, and was active with the ladies’ circles. She was a member of the Lower Weister Homemakers group and also served as the Town of Clinton treasurer for a few years.
After her mom, Iva, passed away, Mava's home became the Vernon County connection for all her aunts and uncles that had moved to southern Wisconsin. She had many happy memories of their visits. She also enjoyed family genealogy and knowing the ancestry connections.
Mava has gone on to be with her husband, family, and the many friends she made at Salem Ridge Church that were known for their shenanigans. As the years went by, they became known as the “lunch bunch” until age caught up with them.
Mava is survived by her daughters, Jan Clark and Bonnie (Jeff) Parr; grandsons Jared and Brandon (Alissa) Parr; one sister-in-law, Mae Fronk; and special nephew Leif Hubbard and his family who have faithfully been there for her since Dale passed.
Mava is preceded in death by her husband Dale; her brothers Norton (Marie) Hubbard and Lowell (Carol) Hubbard; and many sisters and brothers-in-law.
The family would like to recognize the outstanding care received from all the staff at St. Croix Hospice Group. No words can describe the compassion she received from her dedicated caregivers.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. at the Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services followed by a Graveside Service at the Dell Cemetery with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating.
Roth Family Cremation Center and Funeral Services is honored to serve the family.
