Michelle “Rain” Joan Hays, 47, passed away on May 3, 2025 at her home in Viroqua.
She was born July 8, 1977 to Kris Connors and Brad Hays.
Rain was an artist, explorer, and traveler. She found the best parts of life in the small secret things most people pass by without noticing. She connected deeply with the people she met on her journey, and she made a great impact on the people who got a chance to know her.
We will carry with us the lessons and memories that she shared. She will live on in all of the sun filled afternoons, and rainy cold nights. The rocks, and the rivers. The wind that blows and rustles through the grass. She has changed; she is not gone.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gaia and Irie, along with her parents, siblings, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Andi.
In lieu of flowers, her children are accepting contributions to help cover the unexpected costs of her passing.
