Milan Cleo Gilman, 79, of Viroqua passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Vernon Manor in Viroqua.
He was born in Viroqua, WI on November 11, 1946 to Cleo and Jeanette (Bohland) Gilman. Milan married Carol Ann Bolstad on November 11, 1967 at Southwest Prairie Lutheran Church.
Milan graduated from De Soto High School in 1964. He served in the Army and was stationed in Munich Germany from 1966-1968. He worked at the Chrysler Plant in Belvidere, IL until moving to Wisconsin to begin farming. Milan and Carol farmed for many years and then got into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Lock and Dam #8. He retired from there and spent his time restoring and painting tractors and cars. Milan enjoyed his classic cars and belonged to the Lasting Legends Car Club. He also thoroughly enjoyed going on tractor rides.
He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Gilman; daughter Margie (Rodney) Crotzer; son Keith Gilman; granddaughters: Christian Gilman, Jordan Gilman, Trinity Gilman, and Hallie Gilman; brother Roger Gilman; sister Carol (Larry) Fjelstad; and nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Jeanette (Bohland) Gilman; brothers-in-law Rodney Bolstad and Joseph Gillespie; and sister-in-law Betty Bolstad.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Retreat Sportsman's Club at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sandy Conrad officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will take place in the Walnut Mound Cemetery.
