Nickolai (Nick) Lewis Lewison, age 75, passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2021 at Maplewood Assisted Living, Viroqua,Wisconsin.
He was born on May 24th, 1945 to Otto David and Clarice Gudrun (Skrede) Lewison. Baptized and confirmed at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Viroqua, Wisconsin. He attended Cook Grade School, graduated from Viroqua High School in 1963 and UW Madison Dairy Short Course in 1964. He farmed on the Lewison Family Farm. He took great pride in his Registered Brown Swiss Cattle Herd. He also enjoyed for years being a Crossing Guard for the Viroqua Area Schools. He had a smile and a wave for everyone who passed by him. He also volunteered at the Bethel Home, prior to moving to Maplewood Assisted Living. He loved listening to the local news on his radio daily, and Good Shepard Lutheran Church services every Sunday morning. He was the family historian, and remembered every single birthday and every single important date. He was very proud of his Norwegian Heritage.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lewison-Eitland; his nieces, Kimberly(Jason) and Robin Eitland; nephew, Lance Eitland (Karya); great nephews and great nieces: Gryffin, Aurora, Michael, Maren, Morten, Merideth, Hannah, and Holly; great-great nephews, Austine and Mason; and his Maplewood Family.
A special thank you to Connie and Peggy Anderson, and Dan Anderson for all their care, assistance, and support. A very special thank you to his Maplewood Family, for all their kindness, care, and support these past years. This was his Happy Place in Life.
