Pamela L. Vikemyr, age 66, of rural Viroqua passed away at home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 14, 1956, to Robert and Elvina (Erickson) Bailey. She attended Viroqua High School. A short time later she met her husband Mike, and they made their home in rural Viroqua.
Pam and Mike enjoyed their early years in Springville raising tobacco and spending time with their children and extended family on “the farm”. Everyone gathered there and it was a place where family came together and spent time making memories. Later, came the cabin where more memories were made, and everyone was always welcome. Pam worked at the Viking Inn for almost 30 years and loved all her customers and co-workers. After leaving the Viking Inn Pam went to work with her son at River Valley Auto where she always greeted everyone with a smile. Pam loved spending as much time as possible and making memories with her two grandchildren, whether it was shopping, going to their school events, or just hanging out, she thought the world of them. Pam also enjoyed putting together gift baskets and raffles and volunteering her time to raise money for the local veterans and VFW. All of Pam’s friends held a special place in her heart, she loved spending time and socializing with all of them. She will be forever remembered and loved.
Pam is survived by her two children Lisa (Ben) Johnson and Joe (Stephanie) Vikemyr; her two grandchildren Alyson and Evan Johnson; her brother, Gerald Bailey; her sister, Margo Bailey; brother-in-law, James Vikemyr; sisters-in-law, Jenifer (Gary) Nundahl and Victoria Vikemyr; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mike” Vikemyr; her father, Robert Bailey; her mother, Elvina Bailey; father-in-law, Odean Vikemyr; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Vikemyr; brother-in-law, Jerry Vikemyr; sister-in-law, Sara Vikemyr; nephew, Seth Vikemyr; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
