Roger W. Anthony, 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Vernon Health in Viroqua, WI.
He was born on January 19, 1950, to Genevieve (Ready) and Beauford Anthony. He married Mary Kaercher on June 13, 1980, in Tomah, WI.
Roger graduated with the class of 1968 and worked after high school. His first job out of school was at a grocery store in Richland Center. He also worked at the foundry in Richland Center along with numerous other jobs. Since 1997 Roger transported the Amish Community. He liked spending time with friends at the Rod & Gun and the Westby Ski Hill. Roger also enjoyed collecting ball caps, assorted cars, and pens.
He is survived by his wife Mary; sons Justin and Cory; daughter Angela; grandchildren: Jordan, Heidi, and Chris; sisters: Lois (Leo) Gerlach, Phyllis Anthony, Janice (Tim) Lortie of Prairie du Chien, Jean (Joe) Faas of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; brothers: Larry (April) Anthony of North Carolina, Fred (Gail) Anthony of Grand Rapids, MN; brothers-in-law: Tom Kaercher of Salida, Colorado, Mike Kaercher of Tomah, Kelly (James) Schuman of Tomah, Sheri (Ken) Blount, and Kim (Sal) Scardino; sisters-in-law, Sue Kagel of Westby and Lisa Jambois of Viroqua; many nieces, nephew, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Genevieve (Ready) and father Beauford Anthony; sister Alice; brothers Charlie and Rick; grandmas and grandpas; aunts and uncles; brothers-in-law, Larry Kaercher and David Plantz; sister-in-law MaryLynn Bemis; and mother-in-law Laverne Plantz.
Family would like to thank Vernon Health, Emplify Health of La Crosse, and Norseland Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion for Roger in his final days.
Family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Redemption Chapel at 11 AM with Pastor Shick officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service with a luncheon following the service. Burial to take place at a later date.
