Obituary

Ronald C. DeGarmo, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 25th of June 2022, at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, WI. He was born on the 5th of July 1941, to Vera (Ross) and Martin DeGarmo. He married Betty Jean Link on the 13th of April 1963, in Stoddard, WI. Ron was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing around Viroqua and the Upper Mississippi. He accompanied his son on many hunting trips for Elk while his son lived in Idaho. He was a long-standing member of the La Farge trap club and participated in many of their events and contributed to the upkeep of the club itself. Ron built many blue bird houses with the help of his grandchildren and distributed them to friends and family. Ron and Betty frequented Blackhawk Park during the summer and fall months where they enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing on the Mississippi.

He is survived by his wife Betty; brother Marlin;  son Jeff (Chris), their children Jake, Kasy, Mande; daughter Lisa (Collin) Garvalia, their children Sam, Tony, Luke, and Joe, as well as 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters:   Phyllis, Elaine, and Ardis.

Per Ron’s wishes there will not be a formal service or visitation.

 

The Roth Family Cremation Center is serving the family.
