Stacey Marie Conner, 38, passed away on June 10, 2025, at her home in Gays Mills.
She was born on August 1, 1986, to Jackie (Kilroy) and James Conner in Elkhorn, WI and then took her first helicopter ride to Milwaukee County Hospital. She started her life out living in Delavan, WI and various other places until 5th grade when we moved to Soldiers Gove, then Gays Mills. She graduated with honors from North Crawford, and went to college in Madison and La Crosse, WI where she got a degree in Building Science and Energy Management. She worked for Vernon County Energy District as a Building and Energy Specialist, a job she loved.
Stacey had a big heart and always remembered people’s birthdays and special occasions. She made beautiful flower gardens, rock walls for her mom, and sent cards to gram Loni and grampa Jerry – who she was very close to. She loved shopping, buying presents, and cards. She enjoyed playing with her brother’s kids and planning hiking trips and vacations with mom. We were planning on a trip to where her dad and Tracey lived so she could show me how beautiful it was.
Stacey is survived by her parents, Jackie Conner and James (Tracy) Conner; brothers, James (Jen) Kilroy and Barney (Jennifer) Conner; grandparents, Loni and Jerry Henning; Tracy’s kids, Ellen Luke and David Roland; grandmother Jackie Kilroy; her favorite uncle Terry (Della) Kilroy; aunts, Shelly (Brian) Guzman and Patti Erwin; many nieces and nephews, cousins, great aunts and uncles, and boyfriend Eddie.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Bill and Phyllis Conner, Vernon Kilroy, and Les & Atta Freund; Aunt B.J. Koehl; cousin Jason Ritter; her best friend and beloved dog, Arlo; and her mentor and boss Sam.
A very special thank you to all the family and friends who reached out, especially my mom & Jerry, Jennifer Conner, James Kilroy, Jo & John, Reenie, and Tina P.
