In Loving Memory of Steven Willie Swadley
Steven Willie Swadley, age 47 of Soldiers Grove, WI, gained his angel wings on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 12, 1975, in Boscobel, WI, Steven was the cherished son of Sieglinde Christine Swadley (Brehm) and Eugene Thomas Swadley. He attended North Crawford Schools and from a young age, Steven developed a deep affinity for nature and the outdoors, which he carried with him throughout his life.
The beauty of the natural world held a special place in Steven's heart. Whether he was foraging for morel mushrooms or ginseng, hunting deer in the woods, or fishing off the dam, he found solace and joy in the gifts of nature. His love for riding his motorcycle was evident to all, as he would rev it up to announce his presence as he drove by, often with a can or bottle of Mountain Dew. When he wasn't outside, Steven loved cooking the food he found, beating everyone in pool, and tinkering with seemingly broken gadgets to get them to work again. His infectious laughter, sincere smile, and warm presence brightened the lives of those around him.
Steven held his family in the highest regard. He treasured his role as a father, finding great joy and purpose in guiding his beloved children, Savannah and Connor, through life's journey. He spoke of his love for them with pride, wanting the world to know the depth of his affection. Steven also shared a close bond with his seven siblings: Patricia (Mark) Crook, Ursula (John) Strait, Debra (Jerry) Schaller, Monica (Jason) Small, Michael Swadley, Ralph (Brenda) Swadley, and Christoper Swadley, who provided him with constant support and protection. Additionally, he will be dearly missed by the mother of his children, Jessica Lloyd, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
While Steven's journey on earth has come to a close, the memories of his selfless love and adventurous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him. In Heaven, he finds a joyful reunion with his parents Sieglinde and Eugene Swadley and his grandparents.
Steven, your vibrant presence enriched our lives, and we find comfort knowing that you now rest among the angels in eternal peace. May your spirit soar freely in the vast wilderness of heaven, and may your memory be a blessing to us all. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A celebration of Steven’s life with family is being planned for a later date.
