Tarilyn Rae Boardman
June 2, 1958 – September 24, 2026
Tarilyn Rae Boardman, 68, of DeSoto, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Tarilyn was born on June 2, 1958, to Richard Arneson and Carrol Hunder.
Her greatest joy in life was raising her nine children on the family farm in DeSoto. She was never afraid of hard work, whether that meant hauling hay bales or planting tobacco in the fields. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, and it was there she baked her famous homemade cinnamon rolls, which anyone lucky enough to taste one will never forget.
From that same kitchen window, Tarilyn loved to gaze out at the old Oak tree standing way down in the pasture. It was her quiet place, a view she treasured through every season of her life on the farm.
Tarilyn is survived by her mother, Carrol Hunder; her brother, Mark Arneson; her sisters, Ina (Steve) Brosinski and Leda (Mike) Schwertfeger; her eight children, Seyth (Shawna) Boardman, Nickolos (Mandi) Boardman, Kasey (Nani) Boardman, Coty (Jana) Boardman, Ashley (Trevor) Boardman, Bailey (Shannon) Boardman, Anna (Brandon) Schumacher, and Idji (Mac) McCallister; her 27 grandchildren; Mick Boardman, her former husband of 30 years; and her partner of the last 20 years, Lonnie Rockwell, and his son, Trent.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Arneson; her brother, Rob Arneson; her grandson, Kasey Boardman Jr.; and her sweet baby angel, Haley.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
