Tim O’Connor, age 71, of Viroqua passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 8th at Norseland Nursing home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on December 22nd,1953 to Jim and Mae O’Connor. He graduated from Viroqua High School in 1972. He served in the US Navy from 1972-1976. Upon returning to Viroqua, he worked for his dad at the Viroqua Dairy. Nancy and Tim purchased and ran the dairy from 1990-2003. He retired in 2016 from Organic Valley Chaseburg Creamery where he enjoyed his job and all the co workers he spent time with.
Tim enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, good food, good music and spending time with his family.
Tim was a good husband to his wife Nancy, they spent 46 years building a life of love and laughter. Together they created a family that was his greatest pride and joy.
He was a beloved father to his two daughters, Sara and Kayla, who will always remember his smile, kindness, and the way he made them feel like the most important people in his world. His legacy of love will live on through his grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his day!
He also shared a special bond with his brother in laws, and sister in laws who were not only family but life long friends. Their love support and countless memories together enriched his life in immeasurable ways and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Tim is leaving behind a legacy of memories and a family that adored him.
Tim is survived by his wife Nancy; two daughters, Sara (Joe) Faren, and Kayla (Josh) Kaiser; five grandchildren: Quintin, Maleah and Mason Faren, Alexis and Cullen Kaiser; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Helen Parr; aunts: Bette Steinbrenner, Ramona Abbey, and Shirley Gallagher; uncle Jimmy Weber, and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Danny, Kevin, and Jane; paternal grandparents, Forrest and Irene O’Connor; maternal grandparents, Sylvan and Irene Weber; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Norseland Nursing home for their wonderful care, Dr Calkins for his compassionate care, and St Croix Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Viroqua VFW on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 12-4 p.m..
