Warren Knudtson, 84, of Gays Mills, Wisconsin passed away at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Warren was born the son of Tenard (Jerry) and Ruby (Dorman) Knudtson on January 19, 1939, in DeForest, WI. After graduating High School Warren served in the army for 3 years. He then worked for Kipp with many of his brothers for 14 years. In 1978 he bought his dream farm and moved to Crawford County. In addition to running a farm Warren also worked as cattle trucker for many years for Holy Cow Cattle and River Valley Livestock.
Warren was married to the love of his life Mary, for 59 years, 4 months, and 7 days. He grew up playing the game of football and became an avid Packer armchair quarterback. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and drinking beer with his family and friends. For over 20 years Warren was an active member of Legion Post 308 where he served as Vice Commander and honor guard.
He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Petra (Lance) Hagen of Sparta; son Kevin of Gays Mills; grandchildren: Brook, Andrea, Leland, Nathan, Jareth, Christopher, and Trevor; great grandchildren: Serenity, Reese, Ethen, Jace, Lilianna, Bristol, Ronan, Logan, Teryn, Brylee, Abrina, Savannag & Christopher Jr.; brothers, Keith (Judy) and Chuck; brother-in-law John Benish; sisters-in-law: Kathy, Rosemary, Doris, and Shirley; along with many other relatives and friends.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; 6-year-old daughter Trina; his brothers: Dave, Jerry "Bumps", Pete, Larry, Gerald, and Neal; sisters: Joyce, Wendy, and Suzy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Mt Zion Church, 21588 Mt. Zion Road, Boscobel, WI 53805. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of the service.
