Licensed Funeral Director/ Licensed Cremation Operator
Jeffrey Roth was born in La Crosse
Wisconsin. His family moved to Viroqua when he was in first grade to run
the Country Kitchen. It was there that Jeff learned hard, honest work was
fulfilling. He graduated from Viroqua High School in 1989 and attended UW-Stout.
There he graduated with a major in Vocational Rehabilitation and a minor in
Counseling. On October 22, 1994 he married Christine.
Jeff worked as a prison guard in the WI
prisons for a few years, eventually taking a position as a Probation and Parole
Officer. Later, he worked in construction. In 2013 he went back to
school to become a funeral director. It quickly became apparent that
things were changing in the funeral industry. Jeff saw how the community
valued cremation and wanted to make it possible for this service to be provided
right here in the area. Jeff combined his background as a carpenter, gas
and wood stove installation specialist, and funeral director to literally build
the Roth Family Cremation Center. In September of 2020, Jeff opened the
first onsite crematory in Vernon County. This would ensure people could
get great service at affordable prices.
Jeff is a member of Grace Evangelical Free
Church of Viroqua, The Lions Club, Eagles, and a Board Member of the Viroqua
Country Club. In his free time Jeff enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing,
and spending time with his family.
Office Manager/ Licensed Preneed Agent

Viroqua High School in 1989. She
attended UW- Eau Claire graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a
minor in Family Studies. In 1994 she
married Jeff Roth and they have been blessed with eight children and two granddaughters. Chris savored her 19 years of being at home
full-time to raise their family. Her
love of children and the elderly reflect where she continues to spend most of her
time outside of the office.
Chris enjoys reading, studying
health, spending time with her precious family, and God’s word. She is a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church
in Viroqua and the Lionettes.
Funeral Director Assistant
Larry P. Fanta went to Viroqua
Area Schools through his Sophomore year, and because his parents moved,
graduated from Westby High School in 1975.
On September 29, 1979, he married Judy Kobernick of Sparta. They met at the Country Kitchen where Judy worked,
and Larry took a job as the night manager.
After several years in the restaurant business and in sales, Larry went
to work as a loan officer at Fortress Bank in Viroqua. After several years he made the move to Viroqua
Bank which was later purchased by Peoples State Bank. Here he continued helping people with their
financial needs, later becoming the Branch Manager. He retired from banking on
Dec. 31, 2020. He and Judy were blessed
with 3 children, and soon to be 6 grandchildren.
